I’m not here today to announce a bug fix or a new dashboard feature. I’m here to share a much more personal and exciting shift for us.
As you might have noticed, our logo, our colors, and most importantly, our name has changed. We are no longer APKFeed; we are TALOX.
So, why the change? Why fix something that wasn't broken, especially when user growth was steady?
Here is the story from inside the kitchen.
Outgrowing Our Shell
When we started this project, the vision was simple: To be a "Feed" mechanism that scanned mobile app markets and provided data to developers. The name APKFeed described that initial job perfectly.
However, in the last few months, the technology we built under the hood evolved into something far beyond just a "Feed."
Our engine is no longer just a bot that collects links; it has transformed into an Agentic AI that analyzes threats, recognizes unauthorized modifications, and takes action. When we talked to our enterprise clients and investors, we realized a disconnect: Our product was delivering high-end "mobile threat intelligence," but our name sounded like a simple RSS reader tool.
Our engine was a Ferrari, but our badge said "Family Sedan." We had to fix that.
Why TALOX?
When searching for a new name, we didn't just want a cool-sounding word; we wanted a concept that carried the "soul" of what we do.
TALOX comes from Talos in Greek mythology. Talos was a giant bronze automaton (considered history's first robot/AI) built to protect the island of Crete from pirates and invaders. He would circle the island three times a day, patrolling 24/7 and autonomously repelling threats.
That is exactly what our AI does today: It patrols around your app (your island) 24/7, autonomously detecting leaks, and protecting your brand.
This name fits perfectly with our new identity: "AI-Powered Mobile Threat Intelligence."
